There's Room At The Inn

This wonderful Queen Anne style home was built in 1888 for Judge Stephen and Emeline Twiss.
It has had a succession of owners over the years, currently Stephan and Carl who have lovingly restored the home and turned it into a Bed and Breakfast.  For information:  http://innat425.com
Meanwhile, enjoy this feast for the eyes.

Art And Artifacts

Saturday night, May 2, the Kansas City Museum opened it's doors for the season with a combination of special art projects and artifacts from its extensive collection.   The art:  "Divining the Museum: Visions of Past, Present, and Future" was selected from entries submitted by area artists and students at the Kansas City Art Institute.  Above, Loula Longs favorite carriage...  items were displayed in the main house, the Storytarium and the Carriage House.
Helping kick off the Exhibit were, left to right, Mark McHenry, Director of KCMO Parks and Recreation, Anna Marie Tutera, Director of the Kansas City Museum, and Paige Beltowski and Max Adrian, curators of the Exhibit.

Above and below, art pieces and items in the museum collection.

A few images from KC's iconic West Bottoms.  It's slowly being renovated one building at a time, but some of these rough edges are still capture worthy.
