A Walk In The Mist

Impossible to not take photos in the fog... opportunity doesn't arrive that often.  These shots were
taken in Kessler Park and on the Concourse and in the Colonnade.
All shots taken with the Nikon D850 and Nikkor 28-300mm lens.  ASA 500.

Crystal Morning

Ventured out early for some snow scenes.   Ended up just walking around the KC Museum.  Roads were too slick for anymore travel.  Walking was fine and the area looked beautiful

Above, the skyline was fogged in.
                                                         Below,  Kessler Park looked amazing.

                                                              The Museum always looks good.

The Scout, Or, I Can Take A Hint

Prior to last night I had never shot a picture of The Scout in Penn Valley Park.  Mostly because there are plenty of shots of it already.. But in recent weeks I had two requests for photographs of             The Scout. So, I can take a hint. These were taken at various stages of sunset. The shot above was taken last the one below was taken first. All shots taken with the Nikon D850 and 28-300mm lens, ASA 64 then 160.

A Walk In The Woods

Began the trek on the Indian Mound Trail... runs below Gladstone Boulevard from Cliff Drive to one block short of Indian Mound.

Above, Picnic Rock shows the tenacity of nature...paper, scissors, tree, rock.  I named it Picnic Rock because that's where Kelly and I would stop for lunch on our hikes.  It was flatter then.  Below, the Four Sisters.

Finished up the walk by the Kansas City Museum.  The sun was setting.  Makes for long shadows and dramatic pix.

A Labor Of Love

This home, built in 1905, has been saved.  Completely restored inside and out.  Here are before and after pictures showing the progress. Note: this house sold in under a week for over the asking price. For more on the history of the home, see my earlier blog post:

Above, 2008, roof mostly missing, covered in vines and needing paint.  Below the house today.
