"Get Me To The Church On Time'

I'm now going to start posting some of my "regular" work..... The things that make food and tuition possible. These are shots from Jason and Andrea's wedding in June. The service was at St. John LaLande Catholic church in Blue Springs and the reception was at nearby Vesper Hall.

  1. Hate weddings! I couldn't do your job for 10 minutes :-)

  2. What great photos! My parents were married at St. John's (I was baptised there) back in the 1970's. It's such a pretty church!

  5. Actually those photos look so much like the ones we paid an incredible amount of money for a couple years ago by a pushy, type A 'creative chick. Same visual tricks. black and white with certain parts colorized. bare feet.

Do all the high dollar local wedding photographers read out of the same playbook? Mostly what I found was that the photographers get a little like the media, thinking THEY and THEIR job is more important than the wedding itself.

I find wedding photographers obnoxious, egotistical and manipulative. They tend to ruin weddings. get too big for their britches. As if they're saying, 'hey, you paid me more than the price of the caterer...so get out of my way, let the artist do my work and do as I tell you!"

On the big day, everyone's too preoccupied to tell them to shut up and behave!

They should be MUCH more invisible! They should wait for the wedding events, not have the wedding events and the people in it wait for THEM!

But this is a time when the media, and wedding photo vendors are included, are starting to think they're more important than the events they're hired to cover.

  6. If you have such strong feelings about it maybe you should've done it yourself for free and just the way you like it.Or you could've stopped by at Walmart afterward for a $12 package.
