A Very Northeast Wedding

Last Saturday's wedding saw perfect weather. We started pictures at the Colonnade by the Concourse and then proceeded to Our Lady of Peace on Bennington. Beautiful old church. Reception was at Vesper Hall.

A Pendleton Heights "Save The Date"

I highly recommend this tour. All the houses are within a two block area... so very little walking. There will be wonderful music and beautiful holiday decorations. Hyperblogal will be photographing the event throughout.

Scarritt Point Aux Naturelle

Park of Kessler Park that contains Scarritt Point was put in the Parks Department's Reduced Mowing Program (RMP) this year. Although a little more difficult to navigate.... long pants and hiking boots are recommended (there's stuff living in there).... it probably resembles the way it used to be back when the Indians roamed Northeast. This view looks Southwest you can barely see sone of the downtown buildings to the right of center.

More Downtown KC

Took another sojourn thru the downtown area... northwest side of town along 8th Street mostly. The old Garment District... buildings from the 1880s and early 1900s. The first two shots show the New England building.

"Spot"
Thayer Place
State Street Building.... beautifully landscaped. Next eight shots.

Eight Street... lofts and offices. The entrance to the 8th Street Tunnel was in that green patch just ahead of where I'm standing. The tunnel ran down to the West Bottoms to provide quicker access to that area and the Union Depot which was still located there prior to Union Station's completion in 1914.

Entrance to the Garment District Museum.
