Happier Times, Kate Spade In Kansas City 2002

 A brilliant light of fashion went out today with the passing of Kate Spade in New York.  Back in 2002 she returned home for a Kansas City visit and I was lucky to be asked to photograph the visit.  She visited a home in Mission Hills first and then Halls on the Plaza.  Very kind a gracious all the while.

          I visit Kauffman Memorial Gardens several times a year... the beds are continually changed.

              Above, this lady was nesting and keep one eye on me.  She was in with the roses.
