Run Little Rabbit

It was cool summer night concert time at the Kansas City Museum  and "Run Little Rabbit" was the guest group.  Left to right, Michaela, Rachel, and Leslie entertained a record crowd of 175....  great weather on the beautiful grounds. There's a sample of their performance at the end of this post.
 Run Little Rabbit's website:    http://runlittlerabbit.intuitwebsites.com/
I have never seen this many children at one time in Northeast in a non-playground setting.

Above, the new gardens that were planted recently are looking amazing...  they duplicate the original plantings and were recreated from photographs.

Above, a whole slew of Henggelers were on hand.... they live on Gladstone Boulevard... little Simon is not as alarmed as he looks.
Most popular modes of transportation.... feet and bikes.....

Spice Girls at Sandstone

The date, August 3rd, 1998.
The place, Sandstone Amphitheater
The characters... Kelly (my daughter on left) her friend Brittany on the right.
Also, a much younger Hyper.. The Kid is doing sun-squint , she was happy.
Waiting for the Spice Girls..
And, the screen opens, there they are. Lots of squeals.
I was just as enthusiastic as the girls... I really liked that group.
It was a really good show and the weather wasn't bad.
Good old Ektachrome 400 with Nikon F4 and 80-200mm lens.
Kelly being attentive and dancing too.
I remember getting in was fairly easy, getting out took over an hour.  Got the girls home around two AM.....   Worth it though.   Great evening.

A Waterfall Wedding

My good friends Chris and Michael were married this morning by the waterfall at Briarcliff.   Small, private ceremony with a few family and friends.    Warm but wonderful.
You can see all the pictures here:   http://www.davidremley.com/davidremley.com/Michael_and_Kristine.html#grid

Above, the Bride and her Father Terry.  Below, the groom awaits.

Difficult lighting situation with direct sun and deep shade.  I used -.3 exposure compensation just to insure detail in the highlights.    D800 18-200DX lens.

Below, the whole crowd.   Above, the newly married couple.  Congratulations!!!!
