Amber

 Amber stopped by the studio Saturday for some new head shots.   She's entering the Miss Missouri United States Pageant to be held in April.   We do a variety of shots... some for the pageant, but others that she can use in her modeling portfolio.       We also went outside for some shots in the snow in my backyard and also up by the Kansas City Museum.  She's represented by the Hoffman Agency.  All images Copyright 2013David Remley.

 Most of the studio shots were done using a 6-inch pan reflector around the flashtube with another light on the background... some done with a gold reflector under her chin.   Others, (yellow) were shot with a flashtube in a large light box with additional flash unit on the background and one on her hair.  All outdoor shots were available light only.

Orion Pictures Building

     The Orion Pictures Building, built in 1946, slated for demolition to create a parking garage.

Historic Northeast Mini-Mansions Volume 3

This 1895 home has been totally restored inside and out with a modern look and 19th Century charm. Very spacious.  

 All of the staircase is original.. in the entry hall... below the living room .

 Four bedrooms..... the owners have no information on who the original owners might have been.

Low Mo

 Headed down to the River with fellow blogger XO today.  Water level is very low....  the pole was two thirds under water last spring...                               All images copyright 2013 David Remley

                      According to the National Weather Service the Missouri River level is between five and
                                                                                   six feet.

 Large numbers of people were using the River Walk today... bikers, skateboarders, hikers, walkers, and runners... Below the portion of the walk that goes under the ASB Bridge.   Above the walkway from the end of Main Street to the river observation tower.
