FINALLY!

The crocus have bloomed.... last couple of years they have popped up in February... this year they weren't taking any chances. Of course after the next three days they may burrow back into the ground. (And I might follow them.)


Above and below... the Japanese Maple is, wisely, in no particular hurry.
And, below, the Cherry Tree will take it's time too... but we're closer everyday.

  5. According to my Mac dictionary... which is never wrong 'cause it's Mac... plural of crocus is crocuses or croci. However, since saying "crocuses" leaves me winded, I just say "crocus" for both singular and plural.

  6. I love watching the Hydrangeas come to life in my yard. The little green leaves are forming and doing quite well in zone 8. We've had sun and temps around 61ยบ this past week. Plants are springing up and the lavender Azaleas are beautiful next to Cherry Blossom trees and Camella shrubs and Tulip trees. Spring has sprung!
