The Day Of The Dead - Kansas City Museum

This years Day of the Dead at the Kansas City Museum didn't disappoint.   Well done, and accompanied by a wonderful sunset.   Social distancing required advance registration for the event and all slots are reserved already. 

 

The Views Are Always There

 All four shots were taken from the same 20-square-foot area on the westside of the Kansas City Museum on Walrond.  Above, looking into the sunset with Kessler Park in the foreground.  Below, skyline from the same (close) spot.

Indian Mound Trail - Maple Grove

The Indian Mound Trail runs along the bluffs below Gladstone Boulevard between Elmwood and North White...almost all the way to Indian Mound.  It is a fairly easy trail with nine springs along the way.  Maple Grove is below Gladstone at roughly Hardesty... it is all maples and quite beautiful each Fall.

Spring In Northeast

First warm and leafy day of the new Spring.  North Terrace Lake on Cliff Drive,  Indian Mound, and Kessler Park with it's great view of the skyline.   

A Walk In The Mist

Impossible to not take photos in the fog... opportunity doesn't arrive that often.  These shots were
                        taken in Kessler Park and on the Concourse and in the Colonnade.  

All shots taken with the Nikon D850 and Nikkor 28-300mm lens.  ASA 500. 

 

 

Crystal Morning

Ventured out early for some snow scenes.   Ended up just walking around the KC Museum.  Roads were too slick for anymore travel.  Walking was fine and the area looked beautiful
