Saturday night, May 2, the Kansas City Museum opened it's doors for the season with a combination of special art projects and artifacts from its extensive collection. The art: "Divining the Museum: Visions of Past, Present, and Future" was selected from entries submitted by area artists and students at the Kansas City Art Institute. Above, Loula Longs favorite carriage... items were displayed in the main house, the Storytarium and the Carriage House.
Helping kick off the Exhibit were, left to right, Mark McHenry, Director of KCMO Parks and Recreation, Anna Marie Tutera, Director of the Kansas City Museum, and Paige Beltowski and Max Adrian, curators of the Exhibit.

The Kansas City Museum hosts the Fairy Princess for the next couple of weeks on weekends starting tomorrow, December 6th. http://www.kansascitymuseum.org/fairy.html
For the first time in many years the Throne Room will be in Corinthian Hall and it has been gloriously decorated by Museum Staff and volunteers from the neighborhood. Children will love this and each child gets a toy.
