Seeing In Infrared - Kansas City Skyline From Kessler Park

The infrared spectrum gives a stark portrayal of our world. Just out of our visual realm, infrared allows us to view things in an altered way. These were taken with the Nikon D70s using an infrared filter which blocks all visible light. Shooting has to be much more deliberate as you have to shoot in manual, compose and focus..then add the filter and press the shutter. Exposure is trial and error.. These were shot at F8 , 6 seconds, at ISO 200. Converted to black and white in Photoshop, the original images are red

  1. havnt been by for a while, u going to keep up hyperblogal or fade it out? hav seen u on FB but that doesnt do much for me. grew up on N Oakley near JHulse (knew Kevin) then reservoir on Brooklyn, kno all ur NE shots - Paul Thomas
