Hazy Moon Gone Blood

Photo composite showing the eclipse over Indian Mound in Northeast Kansas City Missouri.

City haze prevents true clarity... but it was still an awesome thing to view.  Nikon D800 with 2x Tele-extender on a 28-300mm Nikon Lens.

Rivers Moon

The "Super" Moon arose Saturday night as expected just north of the KC Skyline beginning at 8:49pm.   It was reportedly over the skyline proper Friday night... but I was just happy it was fairly clear.   There was a large amount of haze in the air though.. which made a "sharp" moon more difficult to attain.   Above, just peeking above the tree line.
These shots were all taken from Kaw Point in Kansas City, Kansas from 9:10pm to 10:10pm.  The Missouri River is on the left in these images and the Kaw (Kansas) River is on the right... they merge in the center.   Although these images were all processed in Photoshop, there is no trickery employed... what I saw is what you see :)
These were taken with a Nikon D800 and Nikon 28-300mm lens... camera set on manual...

Kaw Point is one of my favorite places to visit ... full moon or otherwise...
